Transform Your Hearing with our Audiology Care
Bespoke Audiology
Care and solutions
Since 2019, Viewpoint has provided a state of the art Audiology Service that, unlike a large portion of the market, is home grown and entirely in-house.
Time has been taken to create a service that is different. This isn’t another sales-drive, overly commercial service. At Viewpoint we truly care. Importantly, Audiology is not just about selling hearing aids.
Viewpoint offers two things not commonly found these days in Audiology, Time and Freedom. Time to get things right and the Freedom to do these things without external pressures. Viewpoint is truly a different experience.
We are here for you, we can take the time to truly understand your needs and work with you to find a solution.
Advanced Testing
Assessing your hearing accurately is our priority. Just like our optical tests, our hearing assessment is state of the art.
Before joining us at Viewpoint, Our audiologist, John, spent 20 years with the NHS, routinely assessing hearing in some of the largest ENT departments in the UK.
We understand the importance of an accurate assessment.
Fully Independent
Unlike most local clinics, we are a full time centre and a core part of the Viewpoint business. We operate a 5 day a week service and with a sole, highly experienced Audiologist, can promise consistency of care.
We have both the freedom and time to assess each person individually. We are all different and one size does not fit all.
Our focus is helping you to hear better for longer.
Aftercare
Solving a problem is just the start of the process. Looking after you from this point is just as important. We are committed to keep you hearing as well as we can, for as long as we can.
Although hearing aids are important, they are not the only treatment.
With technological breakthroughs in the market slowing down, an hearing aid should last for a very long time. This is why aftercare is so important.
Comprehensive Hearing Tests
Hearing tests are extremely useful for a number of reasons: Struggling to hear in varied situations? Problems with your balance? Tinnitus?
A Hearing test is an essential starting point for all these reasons. Our Hearing assessment is extremely thorough, including tests for eardrum and ear canal health, video otoscopy and speech in noisy environments as standard.
Hearing Aids
Despite popular opinion, hearing aids are not the only answer to a hearing problem but there are many situations were they are invaluable.
Only the person with the hearing problem knows if a hearing aid is beneficial, this is why we insist on a free, four week free trial to assess the benefit and ensure we are making the correct decisions in the long term.
If you are not experiencing problems with your hearing, it’s not as important to have this checked as regularly as your eyesight.
Most hearing loss is due to wear and tear and can be quite a slow process. In practice it is worth testing so we have a baseline for the future.
If you are having problems with speech comprehension, balance, wax occlusion or tinnitus, then an assessment is an essential starting point.
If we can’t offer a solution, we can write to your GP and recommend an appropriate course of action.
Wax Removal
The NHS ceased providing wax removal in 2019 as part of a Core Service Review. Due to this, there are many Non-NHS clinics offering wax removal to meet the need.
Currently there is no mandatory qualification to provide this service so a great deal of care is needed when choosing the safest path.
Our Audiologist is fully qualified and with over 20 years of experience in wax removal, will look after to you to the highest standard.
Micro-suction is currently the safest and best way to clear your ears and at Viewpoint, this is the method we rely on.
